WAECO 4WD Action cooking segment: campfire pizza

Shauno's on the East Coast of Cape York and making delicious pizzas on the campfire!



  • 1 cup of flour
  • ¾ a cup of luke warm water
  • 1 tsp of yeast
  • Tsp of salt
  • Tomato paste
  • Toppings of your choice (cheese, pineapple, bacon, pepperoni olives, salami etc.)


  • Place the flour, water and yeast into a zip lock bag and mix around until firm. And add a pinch of salt
  • Roll the dough out on a breadboard into a pizza base
  • Place the dough on the grille side of the BBQ plate to let the heat get through the dough
  • After about five minutes, flip the dough around
  • Place the tomato paste and all desired toppings onto the pizza base
  • Cover the pizza with a camp oven lid or saucepan and leave until the toppings cook through
